Pretty early start, we started from Dad's house in Harry's truck.
First stop: Camp Verde for gas; Dad misplaced his keys. Next stop: Coyote Springs area, which is the site of an old dude ranch. There are now newer buildings. Pretty aspens.
Next stop: The gravel pit near Mormon Lake. It was nice! Pleasant shade for picnicing, and no other shooters. Dad did some black powder stuff, and Ellen and Lenny did modern shooting.
Here's the truck for the return trip: It's harder to load it neatly out in the field. :)
Next we visited Tall Pine (singular) :) , the location of the house we used to own. It's still there, it looks great, and it's for sale.
A quick trip to the lodge area for Ellen to do some quick T-shirt shopping. (She didn't like them.)
Pleasant drive home via the "Eastern route", thru Payson and down 87. REALLY hot in Phoenix, it was a good day to get out of the desert. Another great trip!

Someone asked me if my "Alpha Cats" got along with each other, when I mentioned that they are separated from the other cats in the evening. Here's a pic, they look OK to me. :)
