Drive past Payson to Tonto Natural Bridge, Harry's truck.
On the way up we saw smoke on the road up ahead, it was a vehicle on fire! We passed a group of sad-looking people standing on the side of the road, looking ahead to their truck, which was engulfed in flames. As we passed the truck the heat was incredible.
On to The Bridge, which is a State Park, $7 per person. Harry was scoping things out for his upcoming drone photo gig. Weather still a little hot! Everyone walked over to the viewpoint and trail area; the kids :) walked down to the creek that flows under the bridge. Very interesting!
Ellen and Harry also checked out the path to the viewpoint of the other side.
El Rancho in Payson for lunch, it's a nice place! Harry and Ellen had huge chimichangas, and Dad and Lenny split a burger.
Another nice trip, the last real road trip before Dad moves out of his house to Fellowship Village.
Link to Ellen's pics.
Here's my pics.
